Ardys Rolls To Another Record

Ardys "Queenie" Kellerman has done it again. This time she was the Overall Winner in the BMW Motorcycle Owners Association 2006 Mileage Contest. Ardys (pronounced "ar-diss") put another 80,131 miles on her BMW's odometer and the San Antonio BMW Riders Club presented her with a nice plaque to add to an already crowded trophy case. Ardys may be a little bit older than most long distance motorcycle riders, but she just waves and smiles as she passes them on the highway and keeps on going. We threw a party at Lone Star to celebrate her remarkable achievment and lots of her Iron Butt riding friends showed up, including a rider who rode in that morning from Albuquerque just to say hello and then turned around and went back to New Mexico. We served up about 400 hot dogs and lots of cake (the favorite food of the long distance rider) during the party. Thanks to everyone who attended.
