In the third of our articles about official BMW Motorrad travel
partners, we highlight some of this year's tour offerings from
the UK's World of BMW customer programme, which has been providing
dream motorcycling trips for thousands of BMW owners since 1998.

BMW Tour Director Richard Harvey has been arranging motorcycling
tours since 1987 and has organised tours in partnership with the
World of BMW since 1998. As most of the tours take place in Europe,
why not meet up with the British BMW riders en-route and ride to
some fantastic destinations with them? The majority of tours in
2008 were sold out and 2009 has some real `gems' in store, so if
you fancy travelling the world with like-minded enthusiasts, here's
a flavour of what's on offer.

One of the World of BMW's most exquisite offerings is the
Discover South Africa tour from 19 April to 1 May
which will take you into the depths of this culturally and
historically rich country, giving you an opportunity to admire the
scenic beauty of the land as well as indulge in fantastic food and
wine along the way.

The entire tour will be on tarmac on virtually traffic free roads,
although there will also be the option of travelling on an unsealed
road over the magnificent Swartberg range for the more adventurous
rider. Routes have been planned with gentle mileage in order to
maximise enjoyment of the spectacular scenery. An added treat will
be a visit to the spectacular Addo Elephant Park.

Equally fascinating and always a sell out is the New Roads to
Morocco tour which now includes slightly less mileage than
in previous years and takes place between 22 April and 8 May. This
magical tour will take you on a voyage through the Andalusian and
Atlas mountains, the Sahara Desert, fortified villages, Berber
castles and old Foreign Legion outposts.

This year two nights will also be spent in luxury hotels where one can
take time out and relax in the pool or Jacuzzi in lavish surroundings.
Alternatively, for those who would rather keep going, there is the
opportunity to scurry up a desert road on your bike where 4x4s and
camels will be waiting to take you further into the desert for a unique
night under a starlit sky. This year's tour is couple-friendly and is
sure to leave you longing for more of the sights, sounds and smells of
Morocco.
A third tour which is proving hugely popular is the World
Superbikes, Monza and the Italian Lakes tour from 6 to 13 May.
Unique to this tour will be the opportunity to witness Troy Corser and
Ruben Xaus heading up the BMW Motorrad assault on the World Superbike
Championship. This will be BMW Motorrad Motorsport's first visit to the
evocative and historic Monza circuit, so if a bit of race action is
`right up your street' then this tour is definitely for you.
