One thing we know for sure at Lone Star is that we are lucky to live and work in a wonderful city. Austin, Texas, is one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world. The surrounding central Texas region is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States and includes dozens of charming and unique smaller cities, towns and communities.

All of us at Lone Star BMW / Triumph understand that making a community a great place to live requires a committment from the people who live there to care for and support those things that make our community special. Operating a successful business in an area with a healthy economy can be rewarding in many ways. We serve and get to know many customers from all over the surrounding area. Each year in early December we host the Lone Star BMW / Triumph Holiday Open House. It is our way of showing our appreciation to our customers for their patronage and loyalty. We usually welcome over one thousand guests. We serve free BBQ lunches and delicious homemade desserts, provide musical entertainment, and give away dozens of motorcycle-related prizes. We also ask our customers to remember those less fortunate in our community and bring food donations to our Open House, which we then donate to the Hill Country Ministries Community Food Pantry, a local food bank. Our customers never disappoint us and we are always able to deliver a truckload of donated food items to an organization that puts it to good use.

For many years Lone Star has provided financial support to KLRU-TV, Austin's award-winning Public Broadcasting Service television station. If you enjoy the British Comedies on KLRU-TV, you are very welcome.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, Lone Star BMW / Triumph held a fund drive for the American Red Cross. In just one week we collected over $5,000 in donations from our customers for the hurricane victims, which we matched dollar for dollar. We were very happy to be able to present a check for well over $10,000 to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.

We feel that doing our part to make our community a better place will return many more rewards in the long run than the value of the original effort. We hope you feel the same way.
