Four new 2008 Daytona 675 Special Editions
Delivery day arrives for four happy Triumph Daytona 675SE buyers
On Friday, February 8th four new 2008 Triumph Daytons 675 Special Edition
models were delivered to the Lone Star loading dock. We knew we had to get
them uncrated and ready to go in a hurry because there were four anxious
buyers who could not bear to wait much longer for their motorcycles to
arrive.
The Daytona 675 is the first three-cylinder super sports middleweight and
has won both the MasterBike and King of the
Supersport race crowns over the past two years. The limited
production Daytona 675 Special Editions feature a Phantom Black paint scheme
with gold-colored decals, black engine covers, gold-finish alloy wheels and a
gold-finish steering nut to top it off. Daytona 675 models are powered by a
screaming three-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 123 horsepower.
The Daytona weighs in dry at only 363 pounds.
Once our technicians got the four new Daytona SE models prepped and ready
to go we cleared out part of our showroom and brought them all inside on
Saturday morning as a special treat. Harlan King, Triumph's area sales
representative, even came to Lone Star to offer his own congratulations to
the four new owners on behalf of Triumph Motorcycles, Ltd.
Jacob tries to look calm. He was not.
Jacob was the first new owner to arrive to pick up his Daytona 675 Special
Edition. He tried to stay calm but we could tell that he was excited and
anxious to ride his new motorcycle. Jacob was nice enough to hang around and
wait for the other owners to arrive so they could all meet each other and talk
to Triumph representative Harlan King. Two other new owners arrived a short
time later and received congratulations and some nice Triumph gear from
Harlan.

The fourth Daytona 675 SE owner was delayed in getting to Lone Star to pick
up his new motorcycle, but the other three guys were able to share a few stories
and laughs about their agonizing waits for their new Daytonas to arrive.
Three happy dudes
It was about time to let these guys climb on their new Daytona 675 Special
Editions and start riding. They were getting a bit antsy. But we had to get
at least a couple of photos of them together with their new motorcycles.
Lone Star thanks the Daytona 675 SE guys for hanging around. We knew they were
chomping at their bits to try out their new motorcycles, so we finally turned
them loose. It didn't take long for them to climb aboard and get rolling.

Diane and Dave couldn't figure out what all the excitement was about on
Saturday morning. Diane rides a BMW F650GS and Dave rides a BMW R1200GS
Adventure. They prefer ruts, rocks and mud. They just don't understand why
anyone would want to ride a motorcycle on a paved street.
