BMW K1200LT Trip Computer/GPS Unit
Los Angeles to Austin...in twenty hours and four minutes...

We know a lot of people really want to leave California and come to Austin, but this is ridiculous. Averaging 70+ mph on a motorcycle from Los Angeles to Austin isn't easy. A total of 1462.2 miles in 20 hours, 4 minutes driving time. Average driving speed: 72.9mph. Total trip time: 20 hours, 43 minutes. Overall average speed: 70.5mph. Sorry, we couldn't show the max speed. We don't want to incriminate anyone (wink wink). On a trip like this you really wouldn't want to be riding any other motorcycle but a BMW K1200LT. It's the only way to fly..er..uh...ride. We asked this rider if he remembered going through Arizona and New Mexico. He didn't.
