The Texas Adventure Ride organizers hold a morning meeting to brief the riders
before they set off on their various routes. The pre-planned routes are
designed to provide an exciting but safe ride.
Carla Cay waits to cross
Although Central Texas experienced extreme drought conditions in early 2009,
there was some water left in the hill country. The low water crossings were
covered with very slick algae and getting across on two wheels was not as
easy as you might think. It wasn't even easy to walk across on foot. Carla
Cay is pictured here waiting to see the best way to get across.
